I would like to thank those of you who have taken the time to visit my page. I will do my best to keep you

all entertained and hopefully open up your minds to new things.

I actually think a lot of you would be interested in my work, especially if we’re in the same age group.

For those of you who know me very well, you know that my passion has always been in writing.

It all started for me back in middle school. I had a pretty rough childhood and I was passive about almost everything.

Since I was so passive, my needs were never really met because I kept everything to myself. Society was not too accepting of my alternative lifestyle. I learned to cope with my most powerful mechanism, writing.

The best way I was able to escape from this harsh reality was through my writing. I remember always having a big imagination, so big that I would write about it right after because the ideas were fascinating to me. After all, nobody could judge me because it was my pen and my paper.

I started off by writing poems. From poems it went to short stories, then from short stories to real life events and experiences.

I always loved reading autobiographies and loved to hear people’s stories, especially when they fall to bottom and courageously rise to the top again.

Reading powerful stories like that always gave me hope, and put a smile on my face.

Since I was always ashamed of my sexuality growing up, I had to find a way to cover up that ugly truth. I tried my hardest to be creative in everything I did so that people would focus more on my talent, rather than my difference in lifestyle. Writing has always been my favorite escape, as well as, photography.

This blog spot will not only be about me and my experiences, but about the whole world. Since I was a Social Psychology major, I like to open the doors up for other people to a new world of perception and understanding. I will also be sharing stories about different cultures, communication styles, human sexuality, the languages of love, global issues like stratifications, epidemics, spirituality, the influence of media on life, music and the influence of drugs, and finally I will be writing about the small LA gay community.

I am looking forward to this blog spot, and encourage you all to give your opinions. I hope this all goes well and that I teach you readers something new that you didn’t already know. I dedicate this blog to myself because for a while I was a prisoner to society’s constraints. I have broke those chains of bondage with confidence though; it’s time to manifest what I’m really about.

” A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.”

-David Brinkley

With love,

Jorge Zamora

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson
